Tropical Summer Pineapple...

Just here continuing on with the #30daycardmakingchallenge!  Up to day 10!  And maybe this will be my FAVORITE challenge...because it is SUMMER themed!  YAY!!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE SUMMER!  Sunshine, warm weather, pool parties, sun out so late at night, BBQ's, parties (well this may be different this summer.  BOO HOO!), people around, etc, etc.  I LOVE IT!  So YES PLEASE!  Let me make a card for you, summer.  😊

(This is my love letter to summer...because yes, I very much often think about how amazing you are.)

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Whisper White
Inks:  Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, StazOn Black, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Pineapple Punch, Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Vellum, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Tropical Chic, Thanks for the Laughs
Tools: In the Tropics Dies, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Heat Tool, Aqua Painter
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Linen Thread, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots

I went all tropical on this one!  I used the Tropical Chic Stamp Set, as well as the In the Tropics Dies.  This pineapple pretty much has my heart!  😍😍😍

I watercolored onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and then cut out the pieces using the pineapple dies.  (The flowers are just cut out from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.)  I then added Pineapple Punch cardstock to the back of the bottom part of the pineapple.

I also really love the black tropical leaves in the background.  I did that on a tag earlier in this challenge (you can see that HERE), but I added some splatter this time.

I hope you enjoy this card!  If there ever was a day for you to participate in this challenge, I would say today is the day! Hee.

Springtime Darling Daisy...

Do you love spring?!  I know I do...because it means I am getting even closer to my favorite time of year...SUMMER!  So the challenge today for the #30daycard making challenge is SPRING!  Yay!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White, Basic Black
Inks:  Petal Pink, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Coastal Cabana, Basic Black, Vellum, Brights Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Stitched All Around
Tools: Subtle Embossing Folder, Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Leaf Punch, Heat Tool, Bone Folder
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Perennial Essence Floral Centers

I love this spring-y card.  Maybe you think of softer colors with spring, but I pretty much love this bright color combo for spring.  😀  Because let's be real...I love any chance I get to use Melon Mambo.

This is definitely a card that I would hand deliver.  Because this daisy is amazingly layered.  You could totally do a flat daisy...but I wanted to make a super fun and heavily layered flower for this card.  So I actually did 4 layers of each sized daisy....using the Daisy Punch & the Medium Daisy Punch. Then I sponged the edges in Petal Pink ink, curled petals with the Bone Folder, and layered it all together.  And the center of that flower is a Perennial Essence Floral Center.  So fantastic!

This saying is still one of my very favorites, PS.  It is from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set.  Here are a few more pics of the details.  Do you love that little curled corner as much as I do?!  😀 Hee.

I hope you enjoy this card!  And here is the challenge for the day:

Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you are having a great day and staying safe!  Please let me know if I can help you with any of your papercrafting needs.  I would love to help!

Card Sketching It With Butterflies!

It's Day 8 in the #30daycardmakingchallenge!  And it is such a fun card sketch!   So if you haven't played along...you should!  Martin has done such a fabulous job with this card making challenge and I know you will love doing it!  😁

On to my card sketch card!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: So Saffron, Pool Party, Petal Pink
Inks:  Pool Party, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  So Saffron, Pool Party, Basic Black, Petal Pink, Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Free As A Bird, Butterfly Gala
Tools: Butterfly Duet Punch, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine

And here is the sketch I followed:

So much fun, huh?!  I think this would be a fun sketch you could easily use again and again!  But here are some pics of the details:

I did a background layer of Designer Series Paper and then the focal layer is embossed cardstock with punched butterflies!  I kinda love all the elements.  💖

So many people I could send this card to.  The thing about this time of "When the world shut down" is that I am realizing how lucky I am to have SO MANY incredible people in my life.  And honestly, that was not something that I have ever taken for granted.  Yet I still find myself in tears just thinking about it.  There is SO. MUCH. GOOD around...because of people.  It is really all about people.

A Rainbow Wish...

It's a RAINBOW Challenge day!  No WAY am I missing out on this one!  I love rainbows!  😍  I had a few different ideas for rainbow, but here is where I ended up going...

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Basic Black
Inks:  VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: Perennial Birthday
Tools: Heat Tool, Broadway Lights Dies
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine

I had some other things I wanted to add to it, but ended up just leaving it with the rainbow words, greeting, and a few accessories.

Also, after I adhered all the words down, I embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I ended up loving this because it was kinda fun to see the inconsistency with the embossing.  The "Wish" words were embossed really well, but  it was kinda scattered with the white part...because of the difference in the thickness of the cardstock portions that had the words adhered down...

I love all these colors though...against the stark white...YUM!

So what do you think?!  Do you love all these colors?!  :-)

Thank you so much for visiting!!  Are you playing along with the #30daycardmakingchallenge?  I hope so!

It is a fun challenge that gives me a bit of motivation during this crazy time!  Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help you with anything!

Christmas Came Early Challenge...

Day 6 of #30daycardmakingchallenge!  I can't say I love this one.  CHRISTMAS themed?! UGH!  Martin...the originator of this challenge...I don't want to think about Christmas right now!  I WANT SUMMER! 😊😊😊 Hee.  So it was all about non-traditional color combo for this Christmas card.  And I didn't even use anything Christmas, except for the greeting!  I used the Flourish Dies for this...because I thought they looked like beautiful snowflakes...yet not so winter-y.  Which is just what I was going for!  So here is my take on Christmas Came Early...

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Inks:  Coastal Cabana, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Pretty Peacock, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Merry Christmas to All
Tools: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Flourish Dies, Heat Tool, Aqua Painter, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch
Subtles Embossing Folder,
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment, Whisper White Baker's Twine

So...what is your vote for non-traditional colors for Christmas?!  May a few up-close pictures of this card will help?!  😀

I love the details of this card.  The watercolor wash, the splatter, sequins, stitched die-cut, subtle embossing folder, distress edges, etc.

It ended up being a fun card to make!  I hope you play along with this 30 day card making challenge!  It is so much fun!

Daisy Punch Meets Parcels & Petals...In A CASE!!!

Day 5 of #30daycardmakingchallenge is here! This one is kind of a fun one, but also a challenge.  😀  I will share my card, and then tell you the fun part about this.

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch
Inks:  Pineapple Punch, StazOn Jet Black, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana
Stamps: Parcels & Petals, Well Said
Tools: Heat Tool, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Tin Tile Embossing Folder, Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Perennial Essence Floral Centers
Ok...so now you are wondering, "What's the fun part, Ashley?!"  Well...look at the challenge:

So yes...I CASE'd my own card to make this card!  But...I wanted to show you that you can get two completely different looks, with the same card layout.  So here is the card I CASE'd:

(You can see the details of this card in THIS POST.)

I loved the simplicity of this card, but yet it has so much detail.  So let me show you a little more detailed look to this new card.

First, I switched the color palette!  Much more bold with black the main color instead of white.  Then I stamped and embossed the background, instead of using the embossing paste.  I really love this, honestly.

Then instead of Christmas, I did a spring card!  Love both of the Daisy Punches...the Daisy Punch & the Medium Daisy Punch.  They are great alone but also look how cute they are together!  😍 I embossed some Melon Mambo cardstock with the Subtle Embossing Folder, and then punched the flowers out.  Love the texture that gives these flowers:

And you may not notice unless you look closely...but I like the shading on the greeting:

I stamped the greeting onto Whisper White cardstock.  Then I used a sponge dauber to add some color with Pineapple Punch ink.

Soooooo...what card of yours would you use as inspiration to make another card?  I can't wait to see!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  I would love to help you with your papercrafting needs!
